REAR GARDEN, HOVE PARK

When you’ve invested in a stunner of a garden room placed at 45 degrees to the property for dramatic effect, you need a garden that's going to work in harmony.

That was fundamentally the brief from our lovely clients in Hove Park, with a few additional features to add into the mix including: a barrel sauna, hot tub, shower, fire pit, water feature as well as lounge and dining areas.

Working with a slight slope up to the garden room our clients wanted to keep a patch of lawn. The rest we changed radically starting with a path of super-sized paving to take you on a journey through all the zones, following the fixed angles to create some stunning triangular shapes, sharp lines and leaving plenty of room for new trees and a simple, lush green planting palette.

New slatted Cedar fencing helped create a contemporary boundary to connect with the garden room and was repeated in the hot tub enclosure to add warmth and hide some unsightly shared party walls.

Our very active clients and their dog now have a garden that connects both house and garden room that can be enjoyed all-year-round.
